Approval Gates

Gate any pipeline step behind a human decision. Configure who gets notified, how they respond, and what happens next — all without leaving the platform.

Approval Gates let you pause pipeline execution at any step and require an explicit approve or reject action before proceeding. Approval requests can be sent to the Opsera platform itself or to external communication tools like Slack, Teams, Jira, or ServiceNow.

Prerequisites

Before configuring an Approval Gate step, create the corresponding tool in Opsera so notifications can be dispatched correctly.

Note: Tool setup must be completed before you add the Approval Gate step to a pipeline. Notifications will not dispatch if the tool is unconfigured.
